Au Natural...

Like most women I know I color my hair...hightlight...lowlights ~ the whole nine yards. In the last few years I have really been doing alot to it because I am springing out gray hairs left and right. Initially I had just a few on the crown of my head so I didn't really care to much. But NOW I have LOTS of them.

On the top, on the side, all along the back....I have even been coloring/hightlighting myself in an effort to save some money. Because as many of you know it is not cheap to get your hair done, at least not if you want to get it done in a respectable salon. It's a vicious cycle...

I have decided to break the cycle....I am not going to dye/color/hightlight my hair anymore. I am going to EMBRACE the gray. I am tired of battling it, I am surrendering to the white & gray....waving my white flag.

I really hope that I end up with this look...

As opposed to this look....

Do Over Please....

I am not sure what is going on with me today. This morning I spilled a glass of milk that I was getting ready to give to Max. We went out to a play date and then ran to Target afterwards and I spilled almost all of Emma's bottle in the cafeteria area.....

THEN I dropped the pretzel Max and I were getting ready to eat which resulted in salt all over the table that I just cleaned up....

THEN I flipped out a big hunk of potato salad that I was trying to stir, which of course had the sour cream, mayo, and mustard already mixed in....

THEN...just kidding. But I am a little afraid to hold Emma....who know what else I might drop today.

On a side note Max is driving me CRAZY! If I ever needed a night for yoga today is it.

One More Time...

Yesterday I had the pleasure of assisting  a good friend at a bridal show, she is the creater & instructer of Trinitas Yoga and she is amazing. We spent the day at a really cool bridal show in Philly. It was a very initmate setting at the Trust Building in Old City...a gorgeous venue. Trish and I were oogling over all of the stunning flowers, cakes, and even wedding dresses.

As we talked with all of the people strolling through we decided that we wanted to get married all over again....but we just to do all the fun stuff. Wear a gorgeous dress, eat lots of cake and hang out with all of our girlfriends.

I love my husband with all of my heart but it seems like our actual wedding day flew by so fast I never really got to enjoy all the "girly" stuff....like the dress, the cake ~ although I did LOTS of dancing. :) I love weddings and everything that goes along with them! I am a total girly girl and LOVED seeing all of the exquisite things on display. Thanks Trish for such a fun day and I would love to be your assistant again any time in the future!!

Can I find the time...

I really could use about ten more hours in the day. Eight of those hours I would like to sleep with and the other two I would like to use to do all the things that I never get to during the day.

Such as clean our bedroom. For whatever reason our bedroom ends up being the last room in the house that I ever get around to cleaning. It has become the landing point for laundry, shoes, and toys, including dog toys. This is supposed to be our haven, the place where we rest our bodies and minds and wake refreshed in the morning ready to take on the day.

HA! I wake up daming the daylight and wondering why someone can't figure out how to get me my 10 more hours.

Well until that day happens I guess we continue sleeping in one big closet....as least our bed is comfy!!! As long as the third child we have (the dog) decides to give me some room at the bottom.

LOVE Bisquick....

Pancakes have never been a speciality of mine, although I LOVE them and so does Max. Usually I end up buying frozen ones because I either burn them or they are to doughy...but this morning Max wanted pancakes and I didn't have any frozen ones.

Soooo I grabbed my box of bisquick took a look at the directions...pretty basic: 2 cups bisquick, 1 cup milk, 2 eggs. THEN I noticed under that there were a couple tips listed for variations. One for thinner pancakes, how to add fresh fruit and then "melt-in-your-mouth" pancakes. I figured I would give it a try and see what happended. If they turned out horrible I could always make him oatmeal. The varation was to add 2 Tbsp. sugar, 2 tsp. baking powder, and 1 tsp. vanilla extract (which I didn't have so I used almond extract instead). I mixed everything together, got my pan nice and hot on a medium temp and went to town.....

AMAZING! I don't know if it was the baking powder but they were soooo fluffy, and with the almond extract they had just a hint of nuttiness.....soooooo good!  Of course the recipe makes about 12-15 pancakes depending on their size. Well even though I love pancakes I cannot sit and eat 12 of them. I decided I was going to try and freeze them. Seperated them into 4 bundles, wrapped them into foil and then placed them in a freezer bag.

I am  hoping that they will freeze well and still be tasty when I take them out the next time....I highly suggest anyone that LOVES pancakes to give this recipe a try!!!

A few faves....

As usual I have been procrastinating about getting pictures put on on the blog or facebook for that matter. BUT this morning I finally was able to upload a bunch and wanted to at least get a few out there for everyone to peak at...just a few of my favorites!
